Resident named chair of nonprofit board
Stephanie Brown of Del Mar has been announced as the new chair of the board of directors of the nonprofit Promises2Kids, which focuses on foster care and children’s welfare. She has served on the board for five years and is vice president of marketing and public relations for Manchester Financial Group. Brown joined the Manchester Financial team after serving as senior director of marketing and public relations for The San Diego Union-Tribune. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from the University of Notre Dame, where she was a distinguished student athlete receiving numerous honors and awards. After college, Brown received an NCAA post-graduate scholarship and was drafted to play professional softball for the Chicago Bandits. Visit promises2kids.org.
