Maeva-Djaldi Tabdi, who spent the last four seasons with the Syracuse women’s basketball program, will transfer to the University of Miami, the school announced Monday. Djaldi-Tabdi, a senior forward, appeared in 89 games for the Orange, averaging 7.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.

Facebook Subscribe to our sports newsletter here Former Syracuse guard Taleah Washington is transferring to Old Dominion, she announced in an Instagram post on Friday afternoon. Washington entered the transfer portal on March 26 and was among nine other current Syracuse players whose names were in the portal.  Washington was also one of the four Syracuse players who sat out of the ACC and NCAA Tournaments due to an unspecified violation of team rules. All four  including freshmen Kiara Fisher, Khamya McNeal and Faith Blackstone  are in the transfer portal, too. Washington played in 13 games for the Orange this season and averaged 1.6 points per game. In 2019-20, she averaged 3.2 points and 10.7 minutes per game.

The move reunites her with Monarchs head coach DeLisha Milton-Jones, who served as an assistant coach for the Orange for one season. Milton-Jones led Old Dominion to a 13-11 record this season.

While Williams was getting checked out by medical personnel along with Orange coach Quentin Hillsman, the program’s assistant coaches wanted to make sure the players were still focused on the task at hand.
