9 & 10 News April 22, 2021 Last year, students at Reed City High School didn’t get the chance to experience prom. “Anytime you cancel a social event that students look forward to and they don’t have the opportunity to take part in that. That’s very disappointing,” says Michael Sweet, superintendent of Reed City Area Public Schools. Brady Sunderlin, a junior at Reed City High School, says many of the seniors were disappointed. “I noticed that a lot of them were upset because you know, prom is one of your big memories of high school when your last big hurrah.” That’s why this year, Reed City hopes to give students the opportunity to create those special memories.

Health minister Mam Bunheng issued a reminder to all people in Cambodia to protect themselves from contagious pathogens during the traditional gatherings. “I would like to remind all people to be very careful about preventing the spread of bird flu. People should wash their hands frequently with soap and water before eating and after contact with poultry,” he said on January 29.
