Attempted Murder Suspect Drags NYPD Officer with Car During Traffic Stop 1010 WINS, April 24, 2021 A Queens man who was released without bail after he allegedly shot another man during a robbery in February dragged an NYPD officer with his car during a traffic stop in Brooklyn on Friday, police said. Takim Newson, 32, was arrested on Long Island after body camera footage caught him reversing his vehicle during a car stop in Brooklyn’s 71st Precinct which includes parts of Crown Heights, Wingate and Prospect-Lefferts Gardens  around 3:50 a.m. on Friday, the NYPD said. Early this morning, officers from the @NYPD71Pct conducted a car stop. During their investigation, officers determined the driver was not fit to drive and asked him to step out of the vehicle.
