Here’s the logline: In a war-torn feudal Japan filled with mechs and magic, the greatest ronin never known, Yasuke, struggles to maintain a peaceful existence after a past life of violence. Netflix reveals African samurai anime Yasuke images, release date

Image: MAPPA/Netflix Yasuke is the newest anime coming to Netflix, and on Monday, the streaming service released the first few images from the show. Along with a few teaser images and a preview of the story, Netlfix also revealed that the anime will have six episodes and is set to release on April 29. In the real world, Yasuke was the first African samurai warrior. While Yasuke is a real person, the story of the anime series will be set in an alternate and fantastical version of feudal Japan. The anime will follow Yasuke as he’s pulled back into his violent samurai past, in order to protect a mysterious girl from some kind of evil forces.
