The marriage campaign won because it enlisted thousands of people to engage in one-on-one conversations across the country. Maybe the question we need constantly ask is how proud could we be if the country rejects the Uluru Statement, the closest we have to a poetic understanding of what an Australian nation could be?
Don't get people started on license plate laws, either here in Illinois or anywhere else across the country. A bunch of states demand that you have a front plate, while almost an equal number don't. So, which camp is Illinois in, and why can't all 50 states agree on this?
