The summer 2021 anime adaptation of
Getter Robo Arc is getting its home video releases handled by Bandai Namco Arts in Japan. The distributor has set a three-volume release for the series that’s made up of twelve episodes. Priced at 13,000 yen each, they’ll begin release on October 27th, 2021 and all three releases will be limited editions. The full series is also getting a special limited edition release of allt hree volumes on December 24th, 2021 priced at 49,500 yen that includes a Getter Robo arc bust. The series has Jun Kawagoe directing it at Bee Media based on the series scripts by Tadashi Hayakawa. Kazuya Hoshi is working on the original designs with Hideyuki Motohashi adapting them for animation.

It’s hard to imagine how this is going to work but the
Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199 series and its followup with
2202 are in line for a compilation film. Not a series of compilation films but a single compilation film called
Space Battleship Yamato 2205: A New Journey. With the delay of the theatrical release, Bandai Visual has now changed their home video release plans. Originally, it was set for a February 25th, 2021 release where the DVD is priced at 5,800 yen, the Blu-ray at 6,800 yen, and a limited edition at select retailers coming in at 9,000 yen.

Space Battleship Yamato 2205: A New Journey. We learned previously that the film is scheduled to open on January 15th, 2021 with its limited theatrical approach with the home video release happening on the same day. A week before that, it was pulled and delayed indefinitely. Now, with the drop of a new promo, the film has been rescheduled for a June 11th, 2021 debut theatrically while having the home video release available same-day for people that attend.
