Toyota’s Sebastien Ogier shrugged off a minor morning setback to build a commanding overnight lead on WRC Safari Rally Kenya after Friday’s opening leg.
Estonia's Ott Tänak (Hyundai) is in third place going into the final day of this year's Rally New Zealand. Finland's Kalle Rovenperä (Toyota), who also leads the way in the World Championship, is out in front, with Sebastien Ogier (Toyota) in second.
Ott Tänak was victorious in Rally Belgium Sunday, with he and co-driver Martin Järveoja picking up their third win of the season, and second in-a-row, for Hyundai in Ypres/Ieper, in exciting style, just seconds ahead of Toyota.
Ott Tänak has won Rally Sardegna, after dominating from day three, Saturday, onward. The win is his first this season and his first for Hyundai since February 2021. Irishman Craig Breen was second for M-Sport Ford, Tänak's teammate Dani Sordo (Spain) came in third.
