Cells at Work 2nd Anime Season Reveals Final DVD/BD Release Artwork

© Akane Shimizu / Kodansha / Aniplex / David Production The winter 2021 anime series Cells at Work is getting its home video release handled by Aniplex Japan and they’ve set their standard style release for it. The eight-episode series is getting a four-volume release that began on February 3rd, 2021. With the third set coming up on April 7th, 2021, we now have the cover artwork for it. The discs are priced between 4,000 yen to 6,800 yen on Blu-ray as the episode count per disc is set at 1/2/3/2. The DVDs are priced 1,000 yen cheaper overall. The feature film is scheduled for a March 24th, 2021 release priced at 7,800 yen for the DVD and 8,800 yen for the Blu-ray, both of which are limited editions. Check the full schedule below.

Cells At Work! Code Black Anime Debuts Dub & Reveals Cast

Jason Marnocha as Narrator The series is directed by Hideyo Yamamoto based on the series composition and scripts by Hayashi Mori. Eiji Abiko is on board with the character designs and LIDEN Films is handling animation production. The Japanese cast announced so far includes Junya Enoki as Red Blood Cell while Yoko Hikasa is White Blood Cell. Kenjiro Tsuda is serving as the narrator. Additional casting includes Hekiru Shiina as Macrophage, Sarah Emi Bridcutt as Liver Cell, and Daisuke Hirakawa as Brain Cell. The first series was directed by Kenichi Suzuki based on the series composition by Yuuko Kakihara. Takahiko Yoshida handled the character design and served as the chief animation director with the animation produced by David Production.
