A four hour standoff in newark is over after police say a man stabbed his wife in front of her own grandson. All this starts around 11 30 this morning. The wife and grandson were able to get out of the house after inside. Eventually the 65yearold surrendered and was taken away on a stretcher. A woman was taken to the hospital where she is now undergoing surgery. No word yet about exactly what led to the initial stabbing. We are learning more about the first cases of zika apparently transmitted by mosquitoes on the u. S. Mainland. A woman and three men in florida likely contracted the virus through mosquito bites according to the states area. There have been 537 travel related cases of zika, 449 in new york, 50 in new jersey, and 38 in connecticut. Today even though it is a sun day, grief counselors will be on hand at Sleepy Hollow high school where the teen was once a student. Charges. Kristin thorne has more details on the story this morning. Kristin. Reporter good morning michelle. Police identified the victim as 17yearold taj robinson. Robinson was a former student of Sleepy Hollow high school. Robinson were told really a well loved student, a student a lot of people knew. It appears it was a fight with another teen which led to his death friday night. Police say the 16yearold Berinzon Moronta stabbed robinson multiple times and was i spoke with a reverend at a church.
