National featherweight champion, Taiwo Agbaje, has revealed he hopes to follow in the footsteps of world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, as he looks to etch his name in boxing history.
Joshua defended his IBF, WBA and WBO belts last Saturday by beating Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev via knockout in the ninth round at Wembley.
Agbaje, popularly known as ‘Esepo’, while sending a congratulatory message to the Nigerian-British boxer, added that he hoped to emulate him.
“I want to congratulate Anthony Joshua on his latest victory over Pulev,” Agbaje told The PUNCH.
“His victory means a lot to me because he is one of the few boxers I love watching, not just because we share the same nationality. Joshua is a great fighter and a gentleman and I hope to follow in his footsteps.
