台東女中3名一年級學生謝炘妤、莊文淇、彭昱綺組隊研發車門開啟警示系統，有助於降低汽車開門肇事機率。報名參加今年的旺宏科學獎，在眾多競賽作品中脫穎而出，獲大會頒發佳作獎。東女表示，今年邁入第20屆的旺宏科學獎是國內歷史最悠久的高中生科學獎之一，長期鼓勵高中生主動探索科學的精神與培養創造發明的潛力。今年報名與頒獎都在疫情警戒期間，在校園停課，實驗室及野外採集活動無法正常進行等多重因素影響下，依然有來自全國133所學校，654件作品參與競賽，竸爭激烈。
