DeKALB – Tails Humane Society had an arrival of 32 bunnies Jan. 19, three of which are pregnant, and some available for adoption.
After two stints of previous ownership, this batch of 32 bunnies has found their way to Tails, 2250 Barber Greene Road, said Michelle Groeper, executive director of Tails. The batch consists of three mom rabbits with litters and a few others who are also pregnant.
With the influx of bunnies coming into Tails, previous donations that were needed have all been filled by supporters and community members, Groeper said.
“Our supporters were so generous that we have so much supplies that came in from the community and Amazon that we honestly don’t need anymore,” Groeper said. “We’re going to have these rabbits for a while and whatever supplies that we don’t use for this current intake, we’ll use them for all other rabbits coming into Tails. It’s amazing, we can’t thank our supporters enough.”
