Authorities say two rock climbers, including a former NFL player, were found dead near a Southern California peak after rescue crews responded to reports of injuries.
Former Dallas Cowboys tight end Gavin Escobar was one of two climbers who died after an apparent accident in California, officials announced on Wednesday. Escobar was 31 years old.
A man and a woman were found dead by Tahquitz Rock, a popular destination for rock climbers across California, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
