Israeli mandolinist Jacob Reuven and American guitarist Adam Levin, paired as Duo Mantar, are about to release their debut album as a duo.
Music from the Promised Land, out June 11 2021 on Naxos, embodies their shared passion for Israeli music and Jewish songs. It includes music by seven Israeli composers, including three world premiere recordings and four premieres of arrangements for mandolin and guitar.
Jacob Reuven is a renowned soloist, a founder of the award-winning Kerman Mandolin Quartet, a professor at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and a director of the Beer-Sheva Music Conservatory. His repertoire ranges from baroque to contemporary, and he is known for his performances of violin repertoire on his mandolin, which was custom-made by Israeli

It appears the Pearl is adding two more restaurants to its campus. According to April filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, both concepts will be housed in the Full Goods building at 200 E. Grayson Rd.
The news was first reported by the San Antonio Business Journal. While details are scarce and folks in the know are staying mum, let s put on our detectives hats and see what we piece together, shall we?
The first concept, Paperboy, appears to be a location of the popular Austin fast-casual concept by the same name. Chioco Design, the architects behind the dreamy, West Texas-inspired flagship, is listed as the design firm on the filing. The point of contact is also one of the key designers on the original Paperboy concept, according to a 2019 release.
