<p>At Chicagoland-based Parent Petroleum, owner and CEO Mario Spina has set his sights on differentiating PRIDE Convenience Stores to attract loyal customers. The company has three foodservice concepts, Pride Café, Urban Counter and Taco Urbano, a liquor store and a new brewery called—appropriately—93 Octane.</p>
<p>“Nobody enjoys buying gas. What we try to do is make it an enjoyable experience for things that people do enjoy. Like good food, nice craft beer, a nice selection of wine and a nice selection of spirits,” said Spina. </p>
