fundraising in new york city and joining us is charles krauthammer, author of things that matter. charles, he is getting some heat for fundraising. everyone or not everyone but some people. is that can he multitask or is this something else. this is not the first time during a crisis he has been thinking of fundraisers. the night of benghazi, he went very the next morning he flew to las vegas for a fund raiser. you have got to remember, also, just what was it, a week ago, during the crisis on the border, he goes to texas for a fundraiser. and doesn t go to the border. and now we have a plane falling out of the sky, shot down obviously with a russian missile. we have a real flareup in gaza. and he goes to a fundraiser. it isn t as he can t multitask but you would think a president a to show concern and b to actually work very hard to gather as much information as he can and to think through possible strategies and
from sequestration? i think that is part of what is driving this. neil: congress isn t helping its own cause here. i mean, obviously you can t multitask. we re all capable of that. but the seem much more intent on investigations, which might be fine. clearly warranted. but a lot of of other crucial issues, like how to deal with spending and the deficit, the debt, entitlements, that seems, including simplifying tax reform, put on a very distant back burner. in large measure the congress we have now essentially reacts to whatever a hot news item is. this is not a pro-active congress. not a pro-active government. and maybe, maybe we should be grateful. when they have been pro-active, i.e., obamacare, it s been disastrous. what do you think karl rove ç argument is, if you re all scandal all the time, not that some investigations are clearly
do with themselves. they have got nothing left. they bring very little to the table because they can t multitask and now they are really it s being revealed and they can t handle it so it comes out in completely ridiculous erratic, stupid conversations like this! there is a social aspect which you re touching on and also the economic relate. most of the women in the workplace are because of necessity not because they don t want to nurture and love their children but because they have to bring home the bacon. and being rooted out now because the economy suffers. it s really bad! you see michelle obama. no, i didn t see that story. it s not so good. so they was mad at a protester. i was just going to say, she has got no problem being in the workplace. that s right. she is tough. she is a very modern woman, actually. yes, she is. you re a modern woman. wow! is that right? all right, i ll do it. two very modern women here. very deeply modern.
a lot of programs at big medical centers where they have medical schools have a lot of these robots, so they are training the surgery residents to use these different types of robots, so they are getting the training. if not you have to do more training, you have to do a lot of cases because you have to get used to it. some of the downside is expensive. as we start to look at cost effectiveness these days, with healthcare laws and such, that is one of the down sides. and it still can t multitask, we still multitas stphaobg as long as my robot has a good bedside manner i m happy. doctor, thank you. jenna: one waiter in houston getting the shock of his life over the weekend, and a good kind of shock. his name is greg rubar and he happened to mention to some long-time customers that his car was ruined by recent flooding. they were just sort of having a conversation. the couple let him a $5,000 tip after their $27 meal. how do you like that as a point
stay connected to the world and do work and think. i can you know, i have the freedom to do that. doesn t mean if i m in a hotel lobby waiting for somebody for a meeting, that i have to do e-mail. it is nice to have that option. it needs to be nice and streamlined and compact so you just have all that stuff available to you. again, you need to be the master of it and you know, technology is a great servant but a terrible master. lot of us have outlook at our offices and they really e-mail open and whatever else you may be doing, e-mail pops up on the screen every time there is a one in. do you have a strong feeling about whether that s that s distracting. you really need to be able to hold your focus. you can t multitask in terms of concentrating attention on more than one thing at a time. you can switch rapidly. as long as have you place holders. the problem is people go there and then there and then there. a part of them stays over there. if you wrote it down, throw ton
