U.S. Ambassador meets Syunik s governor, mayors of Meghri, Goris and Sisian during her trip to Syunik province
During Ambassador Tracy’s recent trip to Syunik Marz, she met with the Governor of Syunik, Melikset Poghosyan as well as the Mayor of Meghri, Mkhitar Zakaryan, the Mayor of Goris, Arush Arushanyan, and the Mayor of Sisian, Artur Sargsyan.
Armenia’s Syunik Marz has borne the brunt of the twin crises of the pandemic and conflict this past year, and the Ambassador appreciated learning from these officials how the region has been affected.
She also discussed how the U.S. government is providing humanitarian assistance to those displaced by the conflict and shared ways in which we continue to support the province’s development.
