Visiting hours expanded at Novant/UVA medical centers
Novant Health UVA Health System, an integrated network of physician clinics, outpatient services, and medical centers in northern and central Virginia, is expanding visitation guidelines at its hospitals.
Effective Thursday, April 8, visiting hours for approved visitors are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily at Novant Health UVA Health System Culpeper Medical Center, Novant Health UVA Health System Haymarket Medical Center, and Novant Health UVA Health System Prince William Medical Center in Manassas.
Visitation for coronavirus patients or those suspected of having the virus remains limited to those meeting specific criteria, such as end-of-life situations, those requiring guardianship, and those with other special circumstances. However, policy updates for specific departments are as follows:

This past weekend, members of the Faith AME Church in Woodbridge brought a gift of appreciation to Novant Health/UVA Health System Prince William Medical Center in Manassas.
Contained in these gift boxes weren’t gold but rather gooey cheese, hand-tossed dough, and sweet sauce.
Members of the Faith Church Men’s auxiliary, known as Brothers Breaking Bread, took it upon themselves as part of their community outreach to buy and deliver pizza pies from Dominos Pizza in appreciation to the doctors, nurses, techs, and staff for serving the public during the coronavirus pandemic.
Novant to vaccinate more teachers Prince William, Manassas, Manassas Park
Novant Health UVA Health System, Prince William County Public Schools, Manassas City Public Schools, and Manassas Park City Schools today announced that the health system would vaccinate employees of the three area public school districts.
Starting in February, Novant Health UVA Health System anticipates receiving a weekly allotment of 2,925 doses of the Pfizer BioNTech-COVID-19 vaccine from the Prince William Health District, based on an agreement reached on Jan. 22. This weekly allotment will supply vaccination clinics for employees of Manassas City Public Schools, Manassas Park City Schools, and any Prince William County Public Schools employees who were not vaccinated at earlier clinics.

Dr. Babur Lateef was the patient today.
Lateef, who was working as an on-call ophthalmologist in Prince William County on Tuesday, and is also the elected county At-large School Board Chairman, received his vaccination for the coronavirus at Novant Health / UVA Health System Prince William Medical Center in Manassas.
“I am not throwing away my shot,” Lateef wrote in a post to Facebook about those who have said they would choose not to receive the new vaccine.
