In an interview on Thursday, PSA-Iloilo Chief Statistical Specialist Nelida Amolar said they achieved 102.72 percent of their 1,571,029 target as of Dec. 31, 2021. "It is 64 percent of the 2020 population," she said. The 2020 population of Iloilo, based on PSA data, was at 2,509,525. PhilSys Step 2 now in assisted-barangays in Kalinga Philippine Information Agency 01 Jun 2021, 16:38 GMT+10 CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga, June 1 (PIA) - - The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) moves to Step 2 of the Philippine Identification System or PhilSys ID national registration in assisted barangays in the province. PhilSys Step 2 registration is on-going for residents of Cabaritan, this city, Liwan West in Rizal and Taga in Pinukpuk who have completed the Step 1 registration.These assisted barangays are those with high poverty incidence and no internet connectivity. Step 2 involves validation of documentary requirements and capturing the biometric information of the registrant such as fingerprints, iris scan and facial recognition.

PSA Camarines Sur cites gains in PhilSys registration despite the pandemic

The recent surge of COVID-19 cases in the past months forced 7 registration centers to suspend operations. The stoppage affected the daily expected output produced by all registration centers from 8,000 to 6,000 daily average registrants,” PSA Camarines Sur Chief Statistical Specialist Clemente Manaog said. In a press statement, Manaog said that in order to speed up the process and get more registrants every day, they initiated various innovations such as implementing longer operating hours at the Fixed Registration Center located at the ALDP Mall.
