Syekh Ali Jaber (ANTARA) Bogor, W Java (ANTARA) - Indonesia s charismatic Muslim preacher Sheikh Ali Jaber passed away at Jakarta s Yarsi Hospital on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. local time.
Syekh Ali Jaber Foundation Chairman Habib Abdurrahman Alhabsyi announced the demise of this popular Muslim preacher and ulema on the foundation s official Instagram account that ANTARA quoted here on Thursday.
Alhabsyi revealed that Sheikh Ali Jaber had tested negative for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) prior to his death. He was hospitalized since December 29, 2020. We sincerely pray for him to return to his Rabb (Allah Subhanahu wa Ta ala), he remarked while urging Muslim communities to prayer for him and forgive the faults he might have ever committed.

Syekh Ali Jaber Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Anwar Abbas fondly recollected the late Sheikh Ali Jaber as being a figure loved by the people owing to his noble character and kindness. Moreover, he has led a fulfilling life and served the people and nation as well as fulfilled his duties to the Divine Rabb, Abbas told reporters here on Thursday.
The MUI deputy chairman noted that Ali s services to the people could not be fathomed since they made individuals cognizant of their duties and functions to always worship Allah SWT.

SBY then recalled one of the sermons Syekh Ali Jaber delivered when meeting his wife, Kristiani Herrawati (Ani Yudhoyono), while she was hospitalized in Singapore in 2019.
Yudhoyono’s wife was hospitalized at Singapore s National University Hospital on February 2, 2019 and died on June 1, 2019.
