Pakistan government has placed over 100 clerics of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan s (TLP) on the list of terrorism and sectarianism suspects as the country continues to be rocked with violence by group’s supporters. News agency ANI reported citing Pakistan media that a top official of the Punjab Home Department confirmed that the decision was taken on the suggestion of the District Intelligence Committees. He reportedly said that more than 100 TLP clerics have been placed on the Fourth Schedule under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

The banned party has put forth five key demands including the resignation of Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, expelling French ambassador to Pakistan, the release of TLP leader Syed Saad Hussain Rizvi and other workers.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Tuesday announced that matters with the recently proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) have been settled after talks.
The interior minister said in his video statement on Twitter that a resolution on expulsion of the French ambassador from Pakistan will be presented in the National Assembly. The minister said the cases filed against TLP workers under the Fourth Schedule will be withdrawn.

ISLAMABAD:
Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed announced in the wee hours of Tuesday that after a successful round of negotiations, Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan has agreed to end its protest across the country after the government tables a resolution regarding expulsion of the French ambassador in the National Assembly today.
“After detailed discussions with TLP it has been agreed that the government will table the resolution in the National Assembly today,” he said in a video message.
