CM Buzdar blasts past govt for ignoring backward areas Lahore May 6, 2021 LAHORE:Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said that the government will give importance to the proposals of parliamentarians in development package. He said this while meeting a delegation of MNAs including Ch Amer Sultan Cheema, Muhammad Afzal Khan Dhandla, Agriculture Minister Syed Hasnain Jahanian Gardezi, Special Assistant Ameer Muhammad Khan, MPAs Ghazanfar Abbas Cheena, Muhammad Amer Anayat Shahani, Javed Kauser, Musarat Jamshed Cheema and Muhammad Latif Nazar here on Wednesday in his office. Speaking on the occasion, the CM announced continuing meeting with the elected representatives, adding proposals of the parliamentarians are given importance in the district development package.

  LAHORE, Apr. 5 (Gwadar pro)- Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Lt. General Asim Saleem Bajwa (retd) said on Sunday afternoon that Iron Brother China was providing research and machinery assistance to increase cotton production.   Chairman CPEC Authority Asim Saleem Bajwa, Minister for Agriculture Syed Hasnain Jahanian Gardezi, and others participated in the meeting of the committee chaired by Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar here at the Governor’s House, said an official statement. Bajwa said the CPEC Authority was keen on facilitating farmers by assisting in various sectors.   “Cotton and textiles account for 8pc of Pakistan s economy and we must all work together to strengthen Pakistan s economy,” he added.

Governor for effective policy to increase cotton production Lahore April 4, 2021 LAHORE : The Agricultural Committee headed by Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar has recommended increasing per 40kg price of cotton to Rs 5,000 and providing direct subsidy to cotton farmers. Chairman CPEC Authority Asim Saleem Bajwa, Minister for Agriculture Syed Hasnain Jahanian Gardezi and others participated in the meeting of the committee held at Governor House here on Saturday. The meeting chaired discussed the problems faced by cotton farmers and their solutions including providing relief to the farmers. Federal Minister for National Food and Research Syed Fakhr Imam joined the meeting via video link. Addressing the meeting, Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar said that an effective policy and integrated strategy is needed to increase cotton production.
