In a shocking incident, a man opened fire at his family members on Monday at Bilal Nagar in Hyderabad.
As per the details, the accused, a real estate business man, Syed Habeeb Hashmi, opened fire at his wife and children with his licensed rifle. Both of them managed to escape unhurt. Locals alerted the police about the incident. The cops reached the spot and he was taken into custody. According to reports, he opened fire at his wife during tiff over property.
K Sudarshan, Station House Officer, Kalapathar said that, Habeeb Hashmi is a resident of Bilal Nagar and opened fire at his family using his .22 rifle at 5 pm on March 8. A case under Section 307 for attempt to murder under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Indian Arms Act were filed against Habeeb.

Hyderabad: A realtor opened fire on family reportedly after a domestic altercation in Kalapather area of old city on Monday night.
Syed Habeeb Hashmi who holds arms license, opened fired with his licensed .22 revolver on wife and children, creating a flutter in the area. However, the family escaped unhurt as the bullets had hit the wall of his house in the Bilal Nagar area.
According to the locals, Hashmi fired three rounds in air. On receiving information, a team of Kalapather police station reached the spot and took the accused into custody.

A 52-year-old man was arrested by Kalapathar police on Monday for allegedly opening fire over property dispute.
The accused, Syed Habeeb Hashmi, a arms licence holder from Bilal Nagar, aimed at his wife and son, and fired three rounds. The incident took place in the little hours of Monday and the mother-son duo managed to escape unhurt.
Habeeb’s 27-year-old son Syed Omer Hashmi informed police that the former was addicted to alcohol and used to quarrel with his mother Tahera Begum and other family members.
“For the past few days, he was threatening us to show the house documents to sell it, in which our whole family resides,” Omer told police in his complaint copy.
