In spring 1967, the Italian engineer designed and funded a 400m 2 platform in the sea, over 7 miles off the coast of Rimini. Hoisted 26 metres off the seabed by steel pipework, Rosa’s project was an ungainly construction: a concrete bungalow squatting on an oil rig.
