Harris & Pascoe take gold Friday for Arkansas State in SBC Outdoors By Caleb Garner - Arkansas State Athletics | May 15, 2021 at 12:07 AM CDT - Updated May 15 at 12:07 AM Evangelynn Harris and Bennett Pascoe once again stepped atop the podium Friday at the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships, putting the Arkansas State track and field teams in striking position entering the final day at Jaguar Track.
Harris took gold in the womenâs shot put, uncorking a career-best throw of 15.92m (52-2.75) to win, giving her a sweep of the conference shot put titles after winning the indoor crown in February.
To conclude the day, Pascoe displayed why he is one of the top steeplechasers in the nation Friday night, running a Sun Belt meet-record 8:53.25 to win. He will look to continue his incredible season Saturday, running in the 1500m and 5000m finals.

JONESBORO, Ark. (1/31/21) – In the penultimate meet before the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships, the Arkansas State track and field teams got a preview of what conference competition will be like in just under a month.
The reigning conference champions hosted five conference foes, in addition to Memphis, for the Scarlet and Black Invitational, where A-State’s athletes posted 19 personal-best marks as well as 28 season-best results. The Red Wolves notched nine victories (5 men, 4 women) and 38 top-five results.
A convicted sex offender accused of breaching court orders imposed to control his behaviour is to be dealt with in the Crown Court.
Brian Joseph McDonagh (48), who police have confirmed is also known as Bernard Thomas McDonagh, of Sydney Lane, Aughnacloy, faces three sets of charges, each of which allege he breached a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (Sopo).
McDonagh is accused of breaching the order at Craigavon Area Hospital, where it is also alleged he behaved indecently on June 21.
On August 13 it is alleged he breached the Sopo by being close to a children s play park at Carnteel Road in Aughnacloy.
