Strong performance at WashU Invite wraps up first half of women s golf season

Washington University women’s golf’s junior Sydney Kuo won the WashU Spring Invite by two strokes with a score of 145 (one stroke over par) across two rounds on April 6 and 7. Led by Kuo, the No. 11 Washington University women’s golf team finished second, recording a score of 610 (34 strokes over par) on the par 72 course.

Article by Social Share Teenaged Barbadian golfer Emily Odwin made a successful return to the greens last weekend after a year-long layoff, when she won the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) of the Northern NJ Spring Junior Championship in New Jersey. Competing at the Mountain View golf course in West Trenton, New Jersey, on Saturday, the 17-year-old Odwin opened with a brilliant four under par 68, which included six birdies, to take a four-stroke lead over Sydney Kuo, who played the 18 holes in even par, 72. In the final 18 holes on Sunday, Odwin increased her lead to six strokes with a solid round, which included only one birdie but 15 pars, nine in succession through the back nine.
