Former ANSTO CEO Dr Adi Paterson joins HB11 Energy board to champion petawatt laser cause equivalent to the moon landing

SYDNEY, July 19, 2022 /PRNewswire/ Australia's first laser fusion energy company HB11 Energy has appointed the former CEO of Australian Nuclear Science & Technology Organisation (ANSTO) Dr. Adi Patersonas a Non-Executive Director (NED). Dr. Paterson is widely regarded as one of Australia's leading figures in nuclear science and technology, and joins as NED following several months already spent alongside the world's luminary laser and fusion energy experts on HB11 Energy's scientific advisory board. Annual General Meeting wrap up and Honorary Fellows welcomed Engineers Australia’s recent Annual General Meeting gave members the opportunity to learn about the achievements and challenges in 2019-2020, ask questions and meet our new Honorary Fellows. News Image Held in a “hybrid” online/face-to-face format, the Annual General Meeting was attended by members around Australia.  Members received updates on achievements, progress and challenges from the CEO Dr Bronwyn Evans and the 2020 National President and Board Chair Chris Champion including:  Membership growth (up 4% from the previous year to 100,911), record non-student membership (up 5% to 72,748) and record Chartered membership (up 7% to 26,401)  The passing of legislation for registration of engineers in Victoria and New South Wales
