No. 2 Lindenwood (17-1; 7;0 GLVC) won its first-ever NCAA Championship on Sunday, May 23, downing Queens (N.C.) 14-12 in Salem, Va.
Tied 2-all with 24:14 remaining in the first half, Lindenwood went on a 10-3 scoring run to close the half with a 12-15. Lexy Biller played a key role in the run, tallying three of her team-high four goals in the first-half flurry. Biller also finished with a game-high eight draws to go along with three groundballs.
Six different Lions registered at least a point in the win, as Emma Arnold tallied a hat trick and dished out an assist and Erin McGuire (2G, 1A) posted three points.
