RHUDDLAN Dementia Group’s bids for funding to create a dementia friendly sensory area in the town’s nature reserve have been awarded. Syd Gaskin, who is a member of the Freemason’s St. Asaph Lodge and a Rhuddlan town councillor, has championed the group’s bids for funding within the Freemasons. Syd said: “This is a very worthwhile cause and when I heard that funds were needed, I made some enquiries and the wheels were speedily set in motion. Lo and behold the Dementia Group was given a total of £2,500 which came from St Asaph Lodge, the North Wales Freemasons’ Charity and the Masonic Charity Foundation.”
