Moped enthusiast Chris Morresey at the start of the Trans-Alpine Scooter Safari in 2012. “The group has evolved. We were in our late 20s when we started, and now we are all heading towards our 40s and looking into that part of life – marriage, mortgages and children,” Morresey said. “The bikes have gone from being quite poor quality, cheap and thrown together, with pretty much full disregard for the law . now we have presentable bikes with working lights. We’ve gone from spray paint jobs to professional jobs.” To cement the group’s camaraderie, a tattoo artist mate drew up the skull design for the Quake City Rumblers’ logo, and they all got matching denim vests.
