he can shut down any federal case he wants. i want to share what chris christie said earlier about trump. i ve known him for 22 years. when i was doing these cases in new jersey, i would put political figures in jail, he would say to, me i could never do that. i could never go to jail. i m telling you, no matter what he says, no matter how he is bragging, and going on and on about him not being afraid he goes to bed every night thinking about the sound of that jail cell door closing behind him. what is your take on this and trump s legal antics, charles? i think governor christie is exactly right, donald trump ultimately is trying to create a situation where he kicks the candace far down the road as possible to try and shifty landscape, or hope the land she skips in a way attracted to him, or the walls are closing and so he can t fight any of these cases
appeal her decision? what leverage can he pull? he again it s extremely unusual in terms of procedural issues. i suspect that is one of the reasons why trump is pushing her at this point and time. he is not a guy who thinks in terms of institutions, or the historical space. he s a personality based guy. this legal strategy dovetails with his political strategy, of personalizing things. he wants to test her right now to get a general sense because, i think, as people have said, he has a tremendous anxiety about how this is going to proceed. i was in the courtroom when he was arraigned. he was not a happy camper. i was around him in the oval when he was relaxed. this was a different guy. i think part of the strategy is to figure out what the road wilbur how much he can get away with. i think smith is going to be reactive in this instance.
