Evacuation orders reduced for Sycan Estates near Bootleg Fire Evacuation orders for the Sycan Estates, an area originally in a Level 3 (GO) Evacuation order zone, has been reduced to a Level 2 (BE SET) Evacuation Order.

CHILOQUIN, Ore Evacuation orders for the Sycan Estates, an area originally in a Level 3 (GO) Evacuation order zone, has been reduced to a Level 2 (BE SET) Evacuation Order.
Fire crews are recommending for residents who live in that area to use the safest path available, which will be from Ivory Pines Rd.
Access from the north is not safe because of fire activity.

Bootleg Fire explodes again with three massive smoke plumes

The Bootleg Fire burning northeast of Klamath Falls appeared to explode again on Wednesday afternoon, as high winds and extremely dry fuels led to the rise of three pyrocumulus clouds, according to the National Weather Service in Medford.
