Southfieldâs SyBridge Technologies Acquires Mexican Company
SyBridge Technologies, a global tooling and mold company headquartered in Southfield, today announced that its Concours Technologies subsidiary has acquired Toolplas Systems Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. in Queretaro. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Windsor’s Concours Technologies has purchased another local firm, Active Industrial Solutions, in a deal that creates what is believed to be the largest mold and tool solutions provider by sales volume in North America.
The deal, which has been a year in the making, will create a company operating in four countries with about 525 employees with combined sales of $190 million last year.

“The strategy is to become a global player in the market,” said Concours president Andy Aiton, who believes the local company is now North America’s largest in the sector.

In a deal involving two Windsor, Ont.-based toolmakers, Concours Technologies has acquired Active Industrial Solutions Inc. and Active Industrial Solutions Tennessee Inc. (collectively “AIS”).
In addition to its plant in Windsor, AIS also has a related mold repair and maintenance facility in Tennessee.
In a Feb. 19 news release, SyBridge Technologies – which owns Concours Technologies – said the deal will create “the largest tooling and mold solutions provider in North America.”
