Norwalk neighborhood says no to yearlong Black Lives Matter sign FacebookTwitterEmail A Black Lives Matter sign posted in the Rowayton neighborhood in NorwalkPat Tomlinson / Hearst Connecticut Media NORWALK Rowayton residents voted overwhelmingly on Wednesday to keep the rules regulating signs posted on a community fence unchanged, following months of controversy started when community members posted a Black Lives Matter banner. Of the 641 votes cast on Wednesday, 438 were in favor of keeping fence regulations the same as they’ve been for years. Under these rules, signs will be allowed for a two-week period, the Sixth Taxing District will need to be alerted when a sign is hung, and the messages cannot be “political in nature.”
