When I married and moved to Vancouver many moons ago, we were sustained in part through those first months by the recipes and food memories I had brought from home. Now that we’re in lockdown again, I’ve been going back through old cookbooks and thinking about favourite recipes from those days.
One of the best decisions I made when I moved here was to attend Diane Clement’s cooking classes at her home in Richmond. An Olympic athlete in track and field, as was her husband, Dr. Doug Clement, she is a creative cook, prolific cookbook author and wonderful friend.
