ANN ARBOR, MI People can shop and dine during Ann Arbor’s annual Bloom Fest as local businesses open up again.
The Saturday, May 15 event, hosted by Main Street Ann Arbor, will offer shoppers the option to interact with businesses in-person, online or curbside.
Bloom Fest started in 2019 as a spring celebration to kick off patio season and highlight the coming summer season for Ann Arbor restaurants, Main Street Ann Arbor Executive Director Sandra Andrade said in an email.
Last year, Bloom Fest was conducted curbside and online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Andrade said. Although live music and flower vendors still won’t be part of this year’s event, there will be downtown block closures so restaurants can extend their patios into the street to provide the community more space to walk around and enjoy downtown, she said.
