Svetlana Kondratenko said: “In 2022 our country reached a record-high volume of food export $8.3 billion, 24% up from 2021. Over 80% of Belarusian products are shipped to the Eurasian region. It represents a significant contribution to ensuring not only national but also collective food security.”
Belarus' food security is a result of the strategy the country chose more than 20 years ago and has been successfully implementing ever since. The strategy relies on a balanced social and economic policy, which is geared towards raising living standards and the quality of food available to the population.
