The Planning Board s approval came with four conditions, requiring Suzuki to: gain permit approval from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for the marina; remove eight of the originally planned 40 boat slips to reduce the marina by 40 feet; establish a no wake company policy for Suzuki vessels in Robinson Bayou; and, get a new development order approved by the PC Planning Board if the company or a future owner wanted to change the purpose of the marina from industrial to commercial or private.
Suzuki Marineâs Tampa HQ to Open April 1

Late last year, Suzuki Motor of America
announced it had chosen Tampa, Fla., for the corporate headquarters of its Marine Division, as the company restructures its motorcycle/ATV and marine segments.
Business operations are slated to begin in Tampa on April 1.
Suzuki’s Marine Technical Center in Panama City, Fla., opened last June.
