David Allen Harms, 81, of Bone Gap, IL passed from this earth to his heavenly home on Thursday, November 24, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 7, 1941, to Gilbert and Iva (Hocking) Harms, David was the youngest of three sons. David married Suzanne Rude on October 6, 1963, at the Bone Gap United Methodist Church. Together they had three children: Eric (Krista) Harms, Melissa (Paul) Brock-Jones, and Meghan (Charlie) Abell. David's six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren were the pride of his life and brought him so much joy. David was a life-long farmer and when asked about it, he would answer, "I've never worked a day in my life", because of his love of farming. He was a true steward of the land, had a strong work ethic, and raised his children to understand the value of hard work. David was a quiet man but had a deep faith in God.
