LMFM By Amanda Flannery Notting Hill star Tony Armatrading has died, aged 59.
The stage and screen star passed away following a battle with cancer, it was confirmed on Monday.
Aramtrading was best known for his roles in the popular romantic comedy Notting Hill and Hollywood blockbuster The Saint.
He was also the younger brother of singer-songwriter, Joan Armatrading.
The news of his death was announced by fellow actor, Tim Bentinck, in a tribute shared to the star online.

The news was announced by fellow actor Tim Bentinck in a tribute shared alongside a photograph of Armatrading, taken with devoted wife Suzan Crowley
The Birmingham born actor was the younger brother of celebrated singer-songwriter Joan Armatrading
During a lengthy career he featured in a string of popular films and television shows, notably Notting Hill, The Saint, The Bill and A Touch Of Frost
He was also a highly respected stage actor, spending three seasons with the Royal Shakespeare Company

“Notting Hill” actor Tony Armatrading is dead at age 59, according to the Daily Mail.
“‘Very sad news. My dearest friend Tony Armatrading died of cancer an hour ago,” friend and fellow actor Tim Bentinck wrote on Twitter Monday, along with a photo of Armatrading with his wife Suzan Crowley.

Tony Armatrading has died.
The actor - who starred in The Saint and Notting Hill - passed away today at the age of 59, following a cancer battle.
His death was confirmed online by fellow actor Tim Bentinck.
