Authorities are searching for a single-engine plane that did not arrive in Sutton Monday night as expected. The report of the overdue aircraft with one person aboard was made to Alaska State Troopers, who alerted the Alaska Rescue Coordination Center, the Anchorage Daily News reported .

ELKINS An Elkins City Council member’s suggestion that the city announce municipal election results this evening at the Phil Gainer Community Center was rejected Monday by City Clerk Jessica Sutton.
On Friday, the city announced that, due to COVID-19 concerns, the public and the candidates on the ballot will not be allowed in City Hall after the polls close this evening. Only election officials and the press will be permitted inside City Hall tonight.
On Monday, Third Ward Councilman Chris Lowther told The Inter-Mountain he suggested in an email to Sutton on Sunday evening that the city announce the election results at the Phil Gainer Community Center after polls close on Election Night, instead of having the activity at City Hall.
