The Energy Industry Development Initiative (EIDI) says its ECOSMART integrated modular power minigrid plant is designed to produce biogas, soil amenders and fertiliser in a ratio that is beneficial for soil management.
Chief Executive Officer, EIDI, Dr Tom Obaseki, in a statement in Abuja on Sunday said that the plant would also support local and regenerative agricultural practices.
According to him, ECOSMART is a total waste to wealth concept based on the circular economy.
“This will help to solve three main infrastructural and developmental problems of Nigeria-Electricty and clean Energy Access –Sustainable Waste Management- Organic Fertilizer for Agricultural use and ultimatly food security.
Abubakar made the disclosure during a news conference on issues relating to environment, on Thursday in Abuja.
Our correspondent reports that the 10 new parks has brought the total number of national parks in the country to 17.
The minister stated that an executive bill would soon be presented to the National Assembly for legal backing to the development.
The minister listed the new parks to include Allawa Game Reserve, Allawa National Park 310km 2 Niger, Apoi Forest Reserve, Apoi National Park 64.77km 2 Bayelsa, and Edumenum Forest Reserve Edumenum National Park 86.76km 2 Bayelsa.
Others, according to him, are Falgore Game Reserve Falgore National Park 920km 2 Kano, Hadeja Wetland Game Reserve Hadeja Wetland National Park 320km 2 Jigawa and Kampe Forest Kampe National 652.86km 2 Kwara 2 Reserve Park.
