As Americans continue to struggle after an especially wrought year, IKEA is rolling out another initiative aimed at helping with CVOID-19 relief efforts. The home furnishing retailer s new program, A Place Called Home, will partner directly with organizations Family Promise and Save the Children to aid families experiencing homelessness across the U.S. It will also seek to help underserved communities obtain adequate supplies and furnishings for remote learning needs.
This is the latest in a line of several aid efforts led by the Swedish furnishings company. In March and April of last year, IKEA donated $1.9 million to the American Red Cross, Feeding America, and local departments of health, as well as other medical organizations, and nonprofits.
