Havre de Grace, the “self-proclaimed duck decoy capital of the world,” as firefighter Ed Grainger calls the city, is again hosting its annual Duck Drop to ring in the new year.
The Charlie Riley Community Service Scholarship Foundation celebrated its annual awards ceremony on Nov. 10. During the ceremony, the organization announced that it surpassed the $390,000 mark in scholarships awarded over the past 16 years. In that timeframe, it has awarded 313 scholarships to Harford County students and fire and EMS personnel.
