Sr. Cpl. T.J. Webb was released from Christiana Hospital Dec. 17 and will continue to recover from gunshot wounds he sustained while attempting to apprehend a wanted man at the Econo Lodge on Route 1 while working with the First State Violent Fugitive Taskforce. The man, 37-year-old Evelio Rivera of Reading, Pa., was wanted for attempted criminal homicide.

Delaware News Journal Susanne Whitney was at one of her part-time jobs Thursday evening when she received news that a Milford police officer had been shot. President of A Walk in Their Shoes, a Delaware nonprofit aimed at uniting the community and law enforcement, Whitney has long worked with police across the state. She s also known several Milford officers for more than 20 years. A great deal of my friends are law enforcement,  Whitney said, so my heart just dropped. As the events of the evening unfolded, Whitney began receiving phone calls from community members and organizations asking how they could help Sr. Cpl. T.J. Webb, who d been shot numerous times by 37-year-old fugitive Evelio Rivera.

Organizations host auction to raise money for Milford officer shot in Rehoboth Beach

47abc December 16, 2020 MILFORD, Del. – Some Delawareans are rallying around a Milford Police officer Senior Corporal Timothy “TJ” Webb who was shot Thursday in Rehoboth Beach. The organizations Delaware Helping Warriors Outdoors and A Walk in Their Shoes have started an online auction on the Facebook page called TJW #5107 Strong. The organizations are accepting donated items to be auctioned. They say money collected from the auction will help the Webb family pay for things like medical bills. The organization A Walk In Their Shoes says there’s already a custom set of Thin Blue Line corn hole boards and a Don’t Tread On Me Battlescar Flag up for auction.
