Show Transcript WITH GUARD MEMBERS ABOUT THE MISSION. BARBARA: THE PENNSYLVANIA NATIONAL GUARD HAS BEEN A PRESENCE AT PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATIONS THROUGHOUT HISTORY. THIS IS MY FOURTH INAUGURATION. BARBARA: IN THE WAKE OF THE DEADLY RIOT AT THE U.S. CAPITO ITS ROLE IS HEIGHTENED THIS YEAR, WITH SECURITY ON HIGH ALERT. DIFFERENCE FROM PAST INAUGURATIONS FOR ME IS THE FACT THAT WE ARE ARMED. BARBARA: MORE THAN 2,000 PENNSYLVANIA GUARD MEMBERS ARE PROVIDING COMMUNICATION SUPPORT, TRAFFIC CONTROL, AND FOOD DISTRIBUTION TO SOLDIERS ON THE GROUND WE’RE PUSHING OUT 10,000 20,000 MEALS PER LUNCH.
