A beloved husband and father was killed in a freak accident after two almighty waves crashed into him while he was swimming in the sea on holiday. Kevin Tickle, 63, was holidaying with his wife in Corfu in September 2020 when the tragedy hit, an inquest into his death at Bolton Coroners Court heard on Friday.
The Wigan couple had been excited to get away after months spent in lockdown and, on September 17, decided they would hire a car to explore the Greek island.
