Massillon BOE OKs scholarship in memory of retired educator Susan Rohr

DISCUSSION: The Massillon Education Loan Foundation established the one-time scholarship in Rohr s name. The scholarship winner must pursue a career in education.
Rohr loved being an educator and spent most of her career at Massillon, according to the district. She began teaching at Lorin Andrews Junior High and spent the next 36 years as a teacher and guidance counselor in the district.
When she retired from Massillon, Rohr worked with Canton City Schools Adult Education Program helping adults improve their reading and writing skills on their way to getting a GED.
