Representatives from Kharkiv, Ukraine, were here Tuesday to thank the city for the $117,000 it raised, which assisted thousands of people in buying food, medicine and needed supplies.
The Sister City Partnership started sending aid to Cincinnati’s friends in Kharkiv as soon as Russia invaded Ukraine. Now they wait, worry, and work to maintain as much connection as possible.
Leaders involved in the Cincinnati-Kharkiv Sister City Partnership said the friends they've made through the program need support as they sit less than 30 miles away from the Russian border.
